Passionate restauranteurs Tim and Kristina Theodorou opened their doors to their dream in 2014. Located in the CBD of Sydney, they serve up premium food with local and sustainable produce. Their appreciation for ridiculously delicious healthy food has led them to develop a menu which serves fast food that is made using slow methods.

The story begins with the unique name ‘ZILIA’ meaning “To Envy” in Greek. Tim and Kristina have a passion for great food and celebrating life. Good food, family and entertainment all go hand in hand.

Tim is a professional musician who entertains oodles of people by playing his bouzouki (greek guitar) in various arenas. Kristina was a teacher in her past life which required wearing lots of different hats and managing and nurturing mini people. Having 3 small children and leading a busy life, they were always disappointed with the fast food healthy options on offer. It never mimicked their European backgrounds of healthy, fresh and tasty meals.

They decided to create a fast food outlet that allowed the customer to design their own using fresh, raw ingredients and so ZILIA was born. Zilia is built on the philosophy of people’s appetite for healthy fast food with bursts of taste and the highest of quality
