As Aussie as ‘shrimps’ on the barbie, or, what we would say, prawns on the barbie, Thainabox first started out at the iconic Bondi Beach. Pioneer of the ‘design your own noodle’ bar concept way back in 1989. This enabled folks to choose exactly what they wanted and the chefs would cook it up into a delicious meal, on the spot. People loved the idea of eating out of cardboard boxes, just like on those American sitcoms! After a long day of Bondi sun and surf, folks would walk in their swimmers, and sometimes the occasional budgie smugglers, looking for an easy delicious bite or a fast, casual meal. Today, nothing much has changed, the food is just as fresh, and the taste simply delicious.
