Sam Christie opened the ground-breaking Thai restaurant Longrain in August 1999, with Chef Martin Boetz in the kitchen. In 2005 Longrain spread its wings to Little Bourke Street in Melbourne, and in August 2017 Longrain opened a Japanese outpost in the Ebisu district of Tokyo, with business partners Transit.
