The audiologist took the time to ensure that Bethany’s stress was minimised, and so at no time did she feel that she was being ‘tested’, and she actually enjoyed the process.
The audiologist worked with Bethany to assist her in her classroom and home activities, and helped us to decide on using a personal listening device at school.
We also chose to undertake the Auditory Processing Therapy and Listening Skills Training Programme, which was tailored to our daughter’s needs and included activities to work on at home. Bethany enjoyed this, too, as she has enjoyed all of her time with her audiologist, and the resulting report shows that her skills have improved significantly since beginning her therapy.
