J A Byatt Pty Limited is a consulting engineering practice, specialising in the structural, civil and drainage design for buildings and other structures offering advice to architects, builders, developers and building owners.

The firm was established by John Byatt in 1982 and has successfully completed the engineering designs of many commercial and industrial projects, school and multi-residential projects and single residences and generally has a high turnover of residential work involving the structural, civil and stormwater drainage design for residences ranging from luxury architectural designed homes to simple alterations and additions.

Our design philosophy embraces a commonsense approach with a view to optimising structural efficiency and minimising use of materials and on site labour, employing new construction methods where possible and using pre-fabricated components where viable.

We also prepare reports on defects on buildings.
