Medical > Vets
Brudine Veterinary Hospital first opened in 1976 by Bruce & Geraldine Fuller, hence creating the name: Brudine. They kept the hospital in operation at the original facilities on the corner of Kingsford Smith & Alfred Hill Drive for nearly 30 years. in 2003, Dr Deb Williams moved across Canberra to become the principle vet, and occupied the house above the clinic with her 3 young children. In 2005, Dr Deb purchased the business from Bruce and officially made it her own.
Dr Deb had a strong ethos that she continues to believe in: personal, friendly care. Her clients are more than pet owners, they are her friends.
From 2005, Deb worked at building a rapport with the community and Dr Karen Viggers became the Friday vet to give Deb a day off. After many years of hard work, Deb began to seek a new vet to help manage the high number of clients her reputation had awarded her. It was destiny that Dr Fiona Starr was looking for a job near her new home in Melba, after moving to Canberra for love. Dr Fiona joined Brudine Vet in 2013 and assisted in managing the huge workload as the business continued to grow.
